Detailed time registration takes time and is demotivating for the staff. Therefore, we have developed a software solution where the time registration is easily done directly through Microsoft Outlook and as automatically as possible with minimal effort for each employee.
All time registration takes place from an interface in the user’s Microsoft Outlook appointment. The user simply selects from a drop down list what the appointment in Microsoft Outlook has been spent on, for instance what client the user has worked for on the specified time. Time registration is therefore done very easy and directly in Microsoft Outlook which the users are familiar with. The billable time can be recorded and transferred to an ERP application.
Handling of Spam in Microsoft Outlook
For Maersk we have developed a tool that handles spam in Microsoft Outlook. The solution is an extension to Microsoft Outlook, which makes it possible to automatically forward spam to a central spam register.
From an interface in Microsoft it is possible to easily mark an email as spam and forward it to a central spam register. The subject of the forwarded spam e-mails can automatically be changed by the solution so it is easy to see spam email. When the solution have forwarded the selected spam email it will automatically be removed from the Microsoft Outlook inbox. After forwarding the central spam register add the sender untrusted senders so no one receives emails from that sender again.
Synchronization of Microsoft Outlook Contacts
For The Danish Prime Minister’s Office we have developed a solution that synchronizes Microsoft Outlook contacts. The client needed a solution for synchronizing Microsoft Outlook contacts between all the employees. The solution makes it possible to synchronize contacts between a central Microsoft Exchange folder and one or more Microsoft Outlook clients. The purpose of the solution was to give the Danish Prime Minister’s Office the opportunity to update contacts between all the employees’ Microsoft Outlook clients and through normal synchronization out on mobile phones.
The solution makes it possible to synchronize contacts between employees and all contact data are stored on a Microsoft Exchange folder. Access to this folder is controlled via normal Microsoft Exchange rights and on each contact it is possible to add a category which controls if the contact should be synchronized out to the employees or only a selected few.
